Fishery Rules

Our rules are incredibly important for the welfare of the carp and indeed the lake. Each angler will be required to read and sign a copy of the rules upon booking.

Payment is taken on arrival, please enquire for pricing.

  • MAXIMUM of three rods per angler

  • No braid (except for marker and spod rods)

  • No leaders of ANY description,

  • No leadcore

  • No “Twig” rigs of any kind.

  • Micro barbed hooks only.

  • Anti tangle tubing MUST BE USED. Our fish are immaculate, and we want to try and keep them that way.

  • No bent hooks.

  • Please give thoughts to your lead setup, lead must only drop off if it needs to, no need for the lead to drop off on the take, we don’t want a lake full of leads !!

  • Baitboats are permitted but please keep to the swim boundaries and don’t encroach into other people’s water.

  • The use of a rowing boat is permitted, however, you MUST bring your own life jacket which MUST be worn at all times whilst out in the boat, failure to do so may lead the bailiff to ask you to leave the fishery. Do not wear waders whilst out in the boat.

  • Low oil carp pellets are permitted. If in doubt please contact us before bringing pellets to the lake.

  • No particles or nuts to be used, the fishery is strictly Boilies and Pellet only.

  • Bring your own good quality HNV boilie with you, or we can arrange bait for you. We would need to know what your group want prior to your visit as you will need to transport it to the lake yourself. If in doubt please contact us before bringing boilies to the lake to avoid disappointment.

  • £ P.O.A

  • Carp care antiseptic must be used. We would prefer you use Koi Woundseal. We also have products on site if required, so please contact the bailiff.

  • Radios are permitted, please do not have them blaring across the lake.

  • No sacking of fish. You may keep fish in a retainer for a MAXIMUM of fifteen minutes to prepare weighing and camera equipment.

  • All weighing and photography must be done within the confines of the swim, alternatively in the water. We will not tolerate fish being carried or moved around up the bank for any reason.

  • All fish over 40lb must be photographed in the water. Please bring waders with you.

  • Please DO NOT bring your own landing mats, nets and slings. These will be supplied by the fishery to reduce the risk of cross contamination, a deposit is required which will be refunded when all the equipment is returned in undamaged condition.

  • No rods to be left unattended.

  • Please do not arrive before 12pm on your day of arrival. You must be off site at 10am on the day of departure.

  • No drugs, and alcohol is permitted in moderation.

  • No litter, this includes cigarette butts. Please use an ashtray.

  • No fires whatsoever. BBQs are permitted but please do not burn or scorch the grass.

  • No using the banks or surrounding land as a lavatory, use the facilities.

  • Shut the gates at all times. Never leave the gate open or unlocked, even for short periods.

  • Please keep the facilities clean during your stay, and as you found them on arrival.

  • At this early stage we require everyone to take their rubbish away with them, please do not use the bins in the nearby village as this will be frowned upon by the local authorities. Our suggestion would be use the wheelie bins in a service station or simply take it home.

  • Failure to comply with the rules after signing a copy to confirm you understand them will result in the loss of your security/breakages deposit.
